hazardous chemicals in the work place and Egress.

1-Day First Responder
Operations Level
This 8-hour course qualifies individual to recognize and perform
some defensive measures in hazardous release situations. This
course does not qualify the individual to participate in spill clean
up. .
3-Day Hazardous
Materials Technician
This 24-hour course qualifies individuals to
stop and control releases and has basic knowledge in all areas of
emergency response.
1-Day Refresher Training
This 8-hour course satisfies OSHA standards
and allows individuals to keep certification up to date.
Hydrogen
Sulfide (H2S) (4 Hour)
This course that meets OSHA 29 CFR
1910.134/139, API RP 55 and CFR 250.67 standards, recommend also
having CPR training in conjunction with this. Testing done on site.

Incipient Firefighting (8-Hour)
This course is designed to demonstrate to the
student how to attack a fire in the beginning stages. Lecture
covers the development of a fire, and the fire triangle and fire
fighting techniques. Practical covers fire-fighting techniques using
several types of extinguishing equipment.

techniques, life saving gear, floatation devices, life rafts and in
water practice. Testing done on site.

Survival With Helicopter Egression
API Approved (8-Hour)
This course is designed to provide the student
with an overview of basic maritime personal survival. Students will
be shown the proper uses of various lifesaving apparatuses found in
the offshore industry. Student will don several types of
survival equipment including PFDs and
immersion suits. The student will understand the escape procedures
of an overturned aircraft in the water.
This course meets minimum standards required by
governing bodies, additional training can be added to the curriculum
to meet industries needs.The mission of the Marine Operations
Program is to offer specialized classroom instruction and practical
training to prepare students to obtain various documents, licenses,
and endorsements.
Young Memorial believes Industry, not the education facility, should
determine the types of training their employees receive.
